Thank you! The strategy given at the 16 minute time mark is invaluable. I feel it will help to fill in the gaps needed to reach Skyline grade level standards. I have been using the suggested recommendation skills and have had great success.

So when the timer pops up, how much time do they have left? 15 seconds? Because that is enough time to read your multiple choices. For example, if they haven't finished reading the passage, and the timer comes up, should they just guess, or skip the rest of the passage and start reading the questions and answers below? Some teachers are telling their students that if the passage looks too long for them to read in a short time, they should read the question (and/or answers) at the bottom, prior to reading the passage to know what they are going to be looking for in the text beforehand (or if they already know the answer without even bothering to read the passage at all). Telling kids to just guess could mean a lot of different things to different kids. Some will just randomly click (or maybe even panic) and some will still take their time to read and make their "best guess." Will they have time for that? It helps if I know how much time they are working with. Thank you.

I went into the Star Math Record Book in Renaissance. I then went into Grouping for skill recommendations and differentiated my teaching by teaching the skill recommendations. I am curious to know if the next Star 360 Test will test students on the skill recommendations?

If I child scores below a SGP of 35 and has an IEP, how should it be treated since it defines the academic peer group? Is further intervention needed with a student with an IEP?

Can you allow teachers to set alerts for certain students? Does this work with PowerSchool?

If Unified Scale is brought in to the system, what changes does it bring to the Literacy Classification? Obviously, the scale range has gotten larger and there must be a change in the literacy classification range as well. Where can I find the information about this?

When we progress monitor, do students take the whole Star 360 Test? If yes, how often?

For Progress Monitoring purposes, how many SGP points should a student increase if they take the Star 360 test every month?

I am with Chicago Public Schools, District 299, I printed a Renaissance Growth Proficiency Chart Report. Under the Growth (median SGP) column does that include data from students with IEP's?

AR is the most horrible program. AR has made me and countless other students dread reading. AR forces you to only read certain books in certain time frames. AR has drained my strong love for reading. There are not enough books on AR and I absolutely despise this horrible program.

This only tells what to do not how to do it. I feel AR needs to step up their game and show us (using a teacher's account and computer) how to actually check on our students progress in AR. Where to go, step by step clicking, etc... Renaissance keeps referring me to videos that do not help in a practical way how to use AR.

Is equating available for all assessments? Letter Naming, Phoneme Segmentation etc?
